The second part in the series dedicated to the great trophies of Quebec. The moose is a mysterious animal that lives hidden in the middle of forests. Much of the vast Quebec forest is in the protection of hunters who in exchange are given sole hunting and fishing rights.
A game of choice. A group of ten hunters has an area of 100km2. In the autumn they gather to hunt moose whose meat is particularly tender and tasty.
A western bivouac. Isolated from the world for ten days, they organize a camp where they live in the style of the old Wild West, cutting firewood and breaking beaver dams so that the water flows to the foot of the camp.
Stalking. During the night, hunters return to their lookouts built in the trees and patiently wait, alone and silent, in the hope that the moose might show. However this enormous animal is but a shadow in the forest, as well as being conscious of the hunt, so it takes a lot of luck for the hunter to shoot one. It is this uncertainty that eventually calls into question even the most seasoned stalker.
